ACCOMMODATION
The University of Manchester has more university-owned accommodation than virtually any other university in the country with more than 8,000 places available, none further than 3 miles from the University campus.
A number of residences are reserved exclusively for postgraduates; in others, undergraduate and postgraduate students are grouped together.
Our halls of residence are self-contained communities where you can make friends and feel at home. Some have their own common rooms, study areas and bars, and all offer social activities for you to enjoy.
Whether you choose a modern or a more traditional hall, you’ll benefit from excellent security and onsite support from the ResLife team. Our ResLife advisers are on hand in every hall, providing the help you need to settle into your new community, and they will continue to look out for your wellbeing throughout your time living with us
If you are based outside the EU, we guarantee you a place in university-managed accommodation if you come to Manchester unaccompanied and apply by 31 August in the year of entry. For the latest information on our accommodation offering, including costs, visit the Accommodation Office website.
