About the course
This master's provides interdisciplinary training that enables economists, policymakers, managers, and researchers to be fully conversant with current issues of public policy and management in an international development setting. Originally conceived for those already working in the public sector, it has evolved into a highly multidisciplinary course that is appropriate to modern professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds, who have an interest in critically reviewing, understanding and designing cutting-edge public policy.
After a decade of work in community and grassroots organisations in Africa, America, Europe and Australia, Katie recognised the need to elevate her theoretical knowledge. She spent two years researching to determine the university that would best equip her with both a solid theoretical base and the space to reflect on development practices around the globe. “I learned more about myself, different cultures and my field than I could have in any other country simply because of the breath of the student body and the excellence standards of The University of Manchester."
