Real Estate Finance and Investment MSc

Year of entry: 2025

Course length: 12 Months Full-Time | 24 Months Part-Time

About the course

This master's will enable you to pursue a successful career in real estate asset and investment management. Accredited by the RICS, it provides a solid grounding in real estate theory and practice from the perspectives of investor, developer, occupier and global society. This course is designed to be highly relevant to future employment in the real estate field, with a strong focus on developing commercial awareness and understanding of global issues. What's more, optional course units allow you to develop deeper knowledge of real estate in areas of particular interest to you, and a residential field trip to London is an integral part of the course, allowing you to put your learnings into practice.

MSc Real Estate Asset Management graduate, Patrick Mooney, talks about why he chose this course at Manchester and how it supported his career path.

“The University of Manchester is one of the only Russell Group Universities to offer a real estate master’s course. As most of the big real estate companies have offices in Manchester, I felt I could gain good work experience whilst studying. Completing my master’s enabled me to sit my Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Assessment of Professional Competence to become qualified as a chartered surveyor.”
