• Teacher Education for those wishing to specialise in these areas.

The course enables TESOL practitioners, who come from different parts of the world, to further their careers with regard to obtaining positions of seniority, undertaking new areas of professional activity or contributing to the professional development of other teachers.

Angi Chen

China, MA TESOL

“I chose MA TESOL at Manchester because it is tailored for experienced teachers, having come from teaching IELTS in a training institute. I wanted to explore new directions and during the year became interested in English for Academic Purposes (EAP), for which I even got a teaching job at the University now! The programme provided me with a lot of mentoring both as a student and towards my new career opportunity. The tutors are very professional and take into account our actual needs and I learned a lot through interaction with them and with my peers.”
